WANT TO BECOME CATHOLIC? RCIA TO BEGIN OCTOBER 4
Adults who would like to consider becoming Catholic are invited to join the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) program. Designed for those who have participated in other churches or religions or who have not been part of any formal faith group previously, this is an opportunity to learn more about Catholic beliefs and practices during a period of inquiry.
Participants may decide to continue on to prepare for receiving the sacraments of Baptism, First Communion and/or Confirmation during the Easter Vigil in April. There is no commitment to become Catholic needed to join RCIA, just a willingness to come and see. The RCIA program is shared with St. Matthias and Our Lady of Lourdes parishes, and most sessions are from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday evenings. The RCIA program is facilitated by parishioners Dan Plovanich and Tom Donnelly.
The first meeting will be a picnic on October 4 at St. Matthias Rectory. For more information, contact
the parish office at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 773-539-7510. Following is a list of scheduled classes:
