Parishioners from high school age and up offer their office service talents (receptionist, filing, computer entry, stapling, collating, etc.) to assist full-time salaried office staff. Membership is open to dedicated volunteers, high school age and older.

The Parish Publicity Committee is our outreach to local newspapers and media to show the presence of the Parish, School and the Church to our community. Ravenswood Catholics In Action

Young adults from four neighboring parishes, formerly the 20s and 30s ministry, for purposes of enjoyment and sports (softball & bowling), service, outreach to the poor and personal faith growth. This is a ministry shared by four neighboring Parishes to build a stronger network and sense of community: St. Matthias, Transfiguration, Queen of Angels and St. Benedict Parishes. Membership is open to young adults, married and single. The group meets every four months, here or in neighboring parishes.

CATOLICOS DE RAVENSWOOD EN ACCION
Descripción del grupo: Adultos jóvenes de cuatro parroquias del vecindario, conocidos en el pasado como el ministerio de los 20s y 30s , con el propósito de entretenimiento y deportes (softball & bolear), servicio, ayuda a los pobres y crecimiento personal de fe. Este es un ministerio compartido con cuatro parroquias para edificar una red de fuerza y fe en la comunidad: St. Matthias, Transfiguracion, Reina de los Angeles y St. Benedict.

Youth Ministry

The parish Youth Ministry is foucsed on participating in Deanery, Vicariate, Archdiocesan and World events. Anyone interested in re-starting a local program, we are open to volunteers. Contact person: Marlene Binkley (773) 539-7510. Here's a list of upcoming events:

NorthSide Kairos V Retreat Aug. 13 - 16th 2004

This co-educational, multi-parish retreat is very unique because of its diversity. Open to public and Catholic high school students who have completed their sophomore, junior or senior years it has been a favorite activity for our parish teens.

Trained teen leaders lead the small group discussions and large group activities, with the support of several adult youth ministers, providing for a chance to evaluate, and discuss the past, present and future within a Catholic context with peers.

Queen of Angels, St. Matthias, St. Nicholas and St. Ignatius youth have been the core of this program since the beginning, and the program continues to reach out other teens looking for a chance to balance their inner self with the demands of life today.
