"The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?" -- Psalm 27:1
SSVD REFLECTION... In today’s Gospel, Jesus overcomes the temptations to wealth and power and esteem. As we begin Lent, may we open our hearts to the grace of prayer, fasting and almsgiving. In the month of February, through your gifts, the Society of St. Vincent dePaul was able to assist eight families, providing referrals to services and $1,700 for food, legal assistance, transportation, utility and rent bills. Thank you!

Use the green envelope provided in each bimonthly envelope packet, or simply write “Lyman Fund” on an envelope and drop it in the collection so no child is denied a Catholic education. You can give to the Lyman Fund online! Visit parish.queenofangelschicago.org/give-central/.
VOLLEYBALL ON OUR OWN TURF All adults are welcome to join with other adult school and parish members to play volleyball at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday nights in the Guild Hall. There is no prior experience necessary, no big commitment and no strings attached. It’s just a really fun evening with other social adults that provides a good workout, too! If you’d like to play, contact Michelle at firstname.lastname@example.org.
WATCH YOUR BELONGINGS! When leaving the pew for any reason during the Mass, please take all of your personal belongings with you. It is too easy for someone to reach in the pew and take what does not belong to them. Be safe!
¡Gracias!
REMEMBER A LOVED ONE Mass intentions may be offered for those in need of extra prayers. Suggested donation is $10 per Mass. Call 773-539-7510.
