Queen of Angels Mission/Vision Statement

Queen of Angels is a Christian Community joined in one Catholic Faith and nourished by the same sacramental life. We celebrate the diversity of our people united through our spiritual life, sharing faith and knowledge, enjoyment of one another, the concern for human needs and the stewardship of all we have.  We undertake this challenge as disciples of Jesus guided by His word and strengthened by His love.

Queen of Angels Goals - Our Sense of Stewardship

--Liturgy and Prayer
--Adult Faith development and teaching the Faith to our young in school and CCD
--Maintain and enhance a high quality School and Religious Education Program
--Outreach to the poor
--Volunteerism and service
--Enjoyment of one another
--Welcoming

The Six Parishes of Lincoln Avenue Mission Statement

The six Parishes of Lincoln Avenue – St. Alphonsus, St. Andrew, St. Benedict, Queen of Angels, St. Matthias and Transfiguration – in the name of the Lord Jesus, endeavor to serve the spiritual, formational, educational and social needs of people of all ages living near this great and diverse Chicago street. We seek to collaborate in a full range of ministries, which is complementary, not competitive. We gratefully encourage those who are now members of these parishes to continue their life with us. We invite those who have not chosen a parish to visit and join one of these Faith communities. Ours is a tradition of prayer, outreach, community, life-long learning and quality Catholic schools that is historic and ever new.

Prayer for Sharing Christ's Gifts

Lord, You have created us in your own image.
We are your people, called to be holy and to be light for the world.
Draw all of us at Queen of Angels into ministry and bless us.
Use our hands and hearts to serve others, sharing your gifts generously.
May your Holy Spirit transform us,
Fill us with love and show us the will of God in our lives.
Holy Mother, our mother, pray for us as we walk with Jesus.

Amen.
