Communication Leader's Notes (PDF) - Minutes from September 19, 2013 Meeting
Meeting highlights and resources:
- Thirty-six parishioners from the Parish Transformation team attended the meeting led by Msgr. Jim Kaczorowski and the facilitator, Deacon Bill Smyser from St. Aloysius Parish.
- Group prayer was offered at the beginning and end of the meeting. The Lord’s Prayer united the team in asking for the guidance of God Our Father. The group also asked for the intercession of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, the founder of the Sisters of Charity who is best known for founding the Catholic parochial school system in the United States. Her efforts to evangelize Catholic families, reach out to immigrants, and allow God’s grace to change her life make her an excellent model for our faith during this Parish Transformation process.
O God, who crowned with the gift of true faith Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton's burning zeal to find you, grant by her intercession and example that we may always seek you with diligent love and find you in daily service with sincere faith. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, One God, for ever and ever. Amen.
- Team members split into seven groups and were asked to offer their hopes and concerns for the future of the parish. Team members prepared their hopes and concerns individually, then discussed them within each small group and determined which major hope or concern to present to the larger group.
