In addition to all the special Masses and prayer opportunities during the Paschal Triduum, we invite you to make service to others a part of your Holy Week practices. Join us to make sandwiches for the hungry in a family PB&J party, donate to the St. Vincent de Paul Society on Holy Thursday, participate in the Jane's Egg Basket drive or serve Easter Dinner to your neighbors at St. Benedict.
FAMILY-FUN PB&J PARTY THIS WEDNESDAY, APRIL 4
The Commons Community Service Team will be holding its monthly PB&J Party with the after-care students on Wednesday, April 4, from 4 p.m. to 5:30pm in the school lunchroom. You are welcome to join us in making PB&J sandwiches and assembling sack lunches for the homeless and elderly guests of St. Teresa's Loaves and Fishes Program.
We have jobs for toddlers through adults. We could really use a few more junior high students or adults to help supervise the younger children who love making sandwiches. We would like to thank HarvestTime grocery store for continuing to donate the produce for this event. Please direct questions to Julie Buckert at email@example.com or 773-562-4625.

Today is Palm Sunday and the beginning of the holiest of Christian weeks. Let us pray for the grace to take up our own cross and to follow Jesus through death to new life. Please support the Society of St. Vincent dePaul in the collection on Holy Thursday so that together we can help the poor as they carry their cross of suffering and pain.

JANE’S EGG BASKET RETURNS
Our Respect Life Committee and Society of St. Vincent de Paul are hosting the “Jane’s Egg Basket” drive, which begins this weekend.
- Plastic Easter eggs with suggestions for your donations will be handed out in the church gathering space on Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday.
- Each suggestion is for either a small cash gift or for a critical item needed by a family. Gift items are fun to shop for and are great ways to get even very young children involved in this life-affirming act of charity.
- Simply take one egg (or many!) after Mass, then return the requested item(s) after Easter on the weekends of April 21-22 and April 28-29.
- Larger, gently used items such as baby furniture are also appreciated. Call the parish office at 773-539-7510 to arrange pick-up or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
Once again the drive will support the work of the Women’s Centers of Greater Chicagoland and the Parenting ProGRESS outreach to teen parents at nearby Ravenswood Evangelical Covenant Church. This year, some of the donations collected will support the McGivney Center in Glenview, which provides transitional housing, care and training support for new mothers who choose life for their babies. For more information, visit www.mcgivneycenter.com. Thank you in advance for your prayers and generous support!
