This Easter season, all are invited to participate in great events with the Queen of Angels family. Join us at a bowling party for adults, a 1980's-themed dance, a free vocal concert and a seminar about asthma. It's also nomination and election time for our school advisory boards.
WELL, BOWL ME OVER!
The First Annual Adult Bowling Knight event that so many have been waiting for is slated for Friday, April 20 at the Lincoln Square Lanes, 4874 N. Lincoln Ave. The fun begins at 7 p.m. with check-in and gains momentum at 7:30 p.m. when the bowlers take their places on the lanes.
The fee is $25 per person and includes three games of bowling and food. For those who don’t want to miss out on the fun but would rather not change shoes, the fee is $10 per person for food only. There will be a cash bar, a 50/50 raffle plus a separate raffle on five sports and/or local business goodie baskets.
All proceeds will benefit the Athletic Program at Queen of Angels and any necessary gym improvements. It is hoped that many parishioners and school parents will come together and join us for this first-time bowling event. Contact nbaer@att.net.

VOCALIST IN CONCERT AT CHURCH
Stuart Thompson will be giving a vocal recital Sprezzatura at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 14 in Queen of Angels Church. The repertoire will include art song by composers Maurice Ravel, Samuel Barber, Henri Duparc and Johannes Brahms. There will also be a special guest appearance by Soprano Kristin Lelm. Stuart has had an exciting career singing with several national opera companies, including the Elgin Opera, Nashville Opera, Sarasota Opera and Indianapolis Opera, and we have heard his voice as a cantor and choral singer at Queen of Angels. Stuart will be seen again with Elgin Opera in the Spring production of April in Austria (a delightful evening of Austrian Operetta) and later this summer in Katydid Production’s run of Tales of Hoffman.
