ASSUMPTION IS HOLY DAY OF OBLIGATION Tuesday, August 15 is a Holy Day of Obligation to honor the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. There will be regular morning Masses at 7 and 9 a.m. as well as evening Masses in English at 6:30 p.m. and Spanish at 7:30 p.m.
HATS OFF TO OUR HIGH ACHIEVERS Honor roll results for the final quarter of the 2005-2006 school year are in. Our parishioners and graduates from Queen of Angels School continue to find success in their further academic endeavors. Congratulations to Gordon Tech College Prep students Miguel Leon, Veronika Kudina, Allison Baniecki, Andrew Baniecki, Reuben Beltran, Cory Bieber, Carolyn Casanova, Alexia Cordova and Timothy Olsen. In addition, Alexia Cordova was named Gordon Tech’s first ever female valedictorian.

MEN’S CLUB GOLF OUTING The 18th Annual Queen of Angels Golf Outing will be Saturday, September 30 at the Chick Evans Golf Course, 6145 W. Golf Rd., Morton Grove. The event is open to all parishioners, family and friends.
Registration begins at noon. Shot gun start will follow at 1 p.m. with 18 holes (scramble format). Doors open at 6 p.m. at the Voss Center with dinner at 7 p.m.
Eighteen holes of golf, golf cart, hot dog, chips and soft drink at the turn are provided. Prizes will be awarded at the dinner. Special Hole-in-One prizes of $10,000 cash, airline tickets for two and pro shop merchandise are included.
Fee for golf, catered dinner and open bar is $70; seniors 62 and over or young adults 18 and under are $60. Golf only fee is $50. Dinner is $30; special price for seniors and young adults is $20. Proceeds from the event will be used for the Nicholas J. Feller Memorial Scholarship Fund, awarded annually to an eighth grader who will study at a Catholic high school.
