Summertime… a chance to break the routine of the ordinary, have a picnic, slip away for a few days, plan the trip of a lifetime. When you make your plans for summer, please remember the needs of the church continue 12 months a year.
The collections at Queen of Angels have remained stagnant for several years. We are pleased to note there hasn’t been a dramatic drop in the giving patterns of people, but this also means there hasn’t been a surge in increased donations. The life of the church goes on no matter what: there are still those in need of assistance, electricity bills to pay, payroll to meet, unexpected repairs, facilities to maintain. Staff members have already undergone pay cuts in an effort to make ends meet.
Queen of Angels needs your support each and every week to keep its operations and ministries going and growing. You may offer plenty of support with your time and talent (and we are most grateful) but right now we are asking for your monetary support to keep Queen of Angels a viable and thriving parish in the city.
Please be as generous as you can each week, making a thoughtful sacrifice. This may be the time to consider ParishPay. This automated program makes it easier for individuals to contribute to the parish, providing Queen of Angels predictable monthly revenue. Donations arrive each month—even if you miss Mass. To enroll, go to www.parishpay.com and locate Queen of Angels. Or call Ed Forester at the Parish Center at 773-539-7510.
Please let us count on your support! Thank you for all you do for Queen of Angels.
