PRE-EASTER SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION (confessions)
Monday, March 21 – 7 to 8 p.m.
Friday, March 25 – 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
(There are NO confessions on Saturday, March 26, Holy Saturday.)
Reconciliation (confessions) is celebrated in the Reconciliation Room
in the Gathering Space, either face-to-face or anonymously. If a second
priest is needed for Reconciliation, the confessional to the left of
the Reconciliation Room is used.
HOLY WEEK LITURGIES
HOLY THURSDAY, MARCH 24
9 a.m. – Morning Prayer. This is not a Eucharist and there is no communion at this morning prayer. The Church allows only one Mass, in the evening, on Holy Thursday.
7:30 p.m.– Evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper. The Blessed Sacrament
remains in the church until midnight for prayer. The church remains
open from midnight on.
GOOD FRIDAY, MARCH 25
These are the fast laws for Good Friday. These are to be seriously observed by all Catholics unless there is a significant health reason which would dispense a person from these laws. All Catholics who have reached the age of 14 are not to eat meat on Good Friday. All Catholics who are between the ages of 18 and 58, in addition to eating no meat on Good Friday, are also not to eat between meals. They are also to take only one full meal on Good Friday with the other two meals being smaller and substantial enough only to maintain strength according to one’s needs and health. If a person is a vegetarian, already not eating meat, they are to take a food which is a substantial portion of their diet and not eat it on Good Friday just as meat eaters abstain from meat.

9:30 to 11:30 a.m.– The Sacrament of Reconciliation (confessions).
12 Noon – Stations of the Cross in Spanish.
3 p.m. – Liturgy of the Lord’s Death, in English.
The reading of the Passion, Prayers of the Church, Veneration of the Cross and, though not a Mass, there is reception of Communion.
6 p.m. – Stations of the Cross, in English.
7 p.m. – Liturgy of the Lord’s Death, in Spanish. The reading of the Passion,
Prayers of the Church, Veneration of the Cross, Communion
and the Seven Last Words of Jesus.
9 p.m. – The church closes and does not reopen until Holy Saturday afternoon.
HOLY SATURDAY, MARCH 26
12:45 p.m.– The church opens.
1 p.m. — Blessing of Easter Foods. The church closes immediately after this blessing.
-There is NO 5 p.m. Mass on Holy Saturday.—
6:30 p.m. – The church opens.
7:30 p.m. – The Easter Vigil of the Lord’s Rising. Blessing of Fire and Water.
Singing of the Easter Proclamation and Easter Readings. The welcoming of
new members into the Church and the First Mass of the Lord's Rising.
This is the greatest liturgy of the Church Year!
EASTER SUNDAY – MARCH 27
The usual Sunday morning schedule:
8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. Masses in English. 12:30 p.m. Mass in Spanish.
—There is NO 6:30 p.m. Four Parish Sponsored Mass at St. Benedict Church—
LAS LITURGIAS DE LA SEMANA SANTA EL JUEVES SANTO – 24 DE MARZO
9 a.m. – Oración de la Mañana. Esto no es una misa con comunión.
La Iglesia permite sólo una misa en este día en la tarde.
7:30 p.m. – Misa de la Ultima Cena. El Santísimo se queda en la Iglesia hasta la medianoche.
La Iglesia se queda abierta toda la noche para su oración personal.

VIERNES SANTO, 25 DE MARZO
9 a.m. – Oración de la Mañana. Esto no es una misa con communion.
12 p.m. – Viacrucis en Español
3 p.m. – La Liturgia de la Pasión de Cristo en Inglés.
Esto no es una misa pero hay recepción de la Comunión.
6 p.m. – Viacrucis en Inglés
7 p.m. – Liturgia de la Pasión de Cristo con Veneración de la Cruz y
Las Siete Ultimas Palabras de Jesús.
9 p.m. – Se cierra la Iglesia hasta el Sábado de Gloria en la tarde.
SABADO DE GLORIA, 26 DE MARZO
12:45 – Se abre la Iglesia
1 p.m. – Bendición de las canastas de comida.
Se cierra la Iglesia inmediadamente después de esta bendición.
-NO HAY MISA as las 5 p.m. en Sábado de Gloria.
6:30 p.m. – Se abre la Iglesia.
7:30 p.m. – La misa de la Vigilia de la Resurrección del Señor. Bendición del Fuego y Agua, el canto del Pregón Pascual y la recepción de los Sacramentos de Iniciación.
DOMINGO DE RESURRECCION – 27 DE MARZO
El horario normal de un Domingo:
8, 9:30 and 11 a.m. – misas en ingles. 12:30 – misa en español.
NO HAY misa a las 6:30 p.m. en San Benito en el Domingo de Resurrección.
