Celtic Spirtiuality: Ireland's Gift to Christianity

Celtic_cross_2When St. Patrick came to Ireland (432 A.D.) he found a people who had strong sense of the holiness of nature and the reality of the spiritual world. Following their conversion, the Irish added a new depth of spirituality to Christian theology and practice.

Did you ever wonder why there is a circle on the Celtic cross? Did you know that Halloween was originally an Irish holy day? Come to the Voss Center at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, February 2 for a talk by Dennis Temple, parishioner of Queen of Angels and Professor of Philosophy Emeritus at Roosevelt University.
